GG Died Today

Sad news from Corydon.

GG died today.

She had been going down hill for the past several months with congestive heart failure. The pills helped but we knew her time was approaching.

This morning Christine found her sick in the living room having thrown up a few times and with labored breathing. Christine called the Vet and was able to get an appointment for later in the day. Wes came over and when they went to go to the car GG didn't even want to walk down the stairs as her back legs were not working correctly. So she walked through the snow and to the car. The Vet examined her, tried to take blood but was unsuccessful and left the room to retrieve some more supplies. With Christine cradling her in her arms and Wes by her side, GG had a heart attack and quickly and quietly passed away. Christine was unaware of her passing until Wes noticed she wasn't breathing, that's how quietly it was. We are comforted knowing that she died in her Mommy's arms and that she wasn't alone.

Yet it hurts.

She will be buried beside Jasmine when the ground thaws.

We loved her so much and she gave us more love than we deserved in return.
